After over 100 years of service in the auto industry, Chevrolet has no plans on slowing down any time soon. This year’s new lineup includes everything from electric models and fuel-efficient crossovers to powerful trucks and SUVs. Like always, Chevy offers a vehicle for everyone, but this year’s models come with exterior upgrades, better safety features, and new modern technologies to make driving a Chevy even more convenient than before. While there are several upcoming Chevy models out there to choose from, finding the exact model and trim match you want can be the challenge. However, as your Louisville Chevy dealer, you can trust us to help you find the perfect 2022 Chevy model.

When you need variety, we’re here for you. We’ll make sure your new Chevy vehicle is as unique as you want it to be. If we don’t already have it on the lot, we’ll work hard to quickly get it here for you, and yes, that promise includes the newest Chevy models on the market. Whether you’re already a Chevy connoisseur or you’re just now getting into the brand, the 2022 Chevy lineup is sure to have you sold. We’re here to share with you some highlights of our favorite 2022 Chevy models.

The Colorado ZR2 Is Back and Better Than Ever!

Off-Roaders can take pride in owning a Chevy truck more now than ever before, thanks to the upgraded ZR2 model. The Colorado is a smaller truck that’s typically meant more for casual truck lovers than hardcore haulers. That said, the ZR2 trim is tow-capable enough to handle all the common casual towing jobs, and it can go places that the Silverado and other Colorados won’t dare to go; it’s an off-roading genius.

The 2022 ZR2 includes a standard 3.6-liter V8 engine, along with the following standard features:

  • Heated Steering Wheel
  • Heated Front Seats
  • Trailering Package (including a hitch and a 7-pin connector)
  • HD Rear Vision Camera
  • StabiliTrak
  • Trailer Sway Control
  • Hill-Start Assist

Want to look as tough as you feel? You can also opt for the Bison package for special 17-inch rims, unique AEV front and rear bumpers, and much more. The ZR2 is hands-down the best 2022 Chevy model for outdoorsy adventurers.

An SUV-Friendly Twist on the EV Is Finally Here!

When you like the appeal of an EV, but the spaciousness of a crossover SUV, you can now find the perfect compromise with the new 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV model. You can haul up to 56.9 cubic feet of cargo in this model, all while traveling up to 247 miles on a full charge. In addition to these perks, drivers also get three more inches of legroom compared to the standard Bolt EV. Most importantly, this model is the first Chevy to implement SuperCruise, a hands-free driving feature. This system is designed to allow you to turn it on and let your car drive you for a while, but don’t worry; there are plenty of features in place to ensure that you are still remaining appropriately attentive when using the system.

Speaking of safety technologies, Chevy Safety Assist comes standard on the new EUV. These features include the following:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Front Pedestrian Braking
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • IntelliBeam Headlamps

These features make it much easier to trust your teen drivers and to trust yourself after you’ve been behind the wheel for a few hours. While these safety features do not replace your attention, they’re there to help you maintain focus and make fewer mistakes. When you’re ready to join the energy-efficiency movement, but you need more space than the typical EV model can offer, check out the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV.

The Equinox Is Back With More Style Than Ever Before

The Chevy Equinox has been a popular model for family commuters since 2004. Like most commuting models, the Equinox kept a simplistic style throughout most model years. However, that changes with the new 2022 model. While the Equinox is just as family-friendly as before, it’s much friendlier on the eyes. No matter what trim level you choose, you’ll get a brand new grille design, a new front fascia, a new rear fascia, and LED driving lights. There are also four new exterior colors to choose from, including the following:

  • Cherry Red Tintcoat
  • Blue Glow Metallic
  • Seaglass Blue Metallic
  • Iron Gray Metallic

You can also get the Chevy RS model in Equinox form now, which gives you a nice black and red design theme. Furthermore, the Premier model comes with its own new trimmings, including a black grille with chrome inserts, a logo-projection liftgate, 19-inch wheels, and more.

Like previous Equinox models, the 2022 Equinox can haul up to 63.9 cubic feet of cargo, it can get up to 31 MPG on the highway, and it includes standard Chevy Safety Assist. Technology-wise, the main new perk to this model is that it now offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone connectivity, along with outside power mirrors with a heating feature.

An important fact to note here is that this is still an incredibly affordable model, even at the higher trim levels. So, you can feel less guilty about opting in for a higher trim when you choose the 2022 Equinox model. When you need practicality but still want to look cool, the 2022 Chevy Equinox is one of the best options in its class.

Other New Chevy Models to Look For

We’ve addressed some of the Chevy models we’re most excited for, but several other popular Chevy models are confirmed to come back for 2022 as well. Keep an eye out for the following models:

  • The Chevy Silverado (1500, 2500, 3500)
  • The Chevy Suburban
  • The Chevy Blazer
  • The Chevy Trax
  • The Chevy Traverse
  • The Chevy Tahoe
  • The Chevy Bolt EV

This lineup includes several exciting new features. For instance, the Silverado is now available in the ZR2 off-roading trim for the first time ever. When you like the off-roading specs of the Colorado ZR2, but you need to tow a bit more, this is a great option. The 2022 Silverado ZR2 has a max tow capacity of 8,900 pounds, yet it can still handle off-roading conditions like a champ.

Casual drivers will be happy to know that the Trailblazer now comes with a trailering package, meaning you can now haul boats and small trailers with this compact model. That said if you’re into major towing but you still need room for the family, the 2022 Suburban is where it’s at. You’ll now have access to the 6.2-liter V8 engine across the RST, Z71, and Premier trims, which makes it easy to reach the 8,200-pound tow capacity. Between this, 144 cubic feet of cargo space, and 13 different camera views to aid in towing safety, the Suburban is the perfect family machine.
