Technology
The Terrain compact SUV has a complete technology suite and safety features that ensure a well-connected, well-informed, and safe drive. The standard GMC Pro Safety package offers six safety features to assist you on the road: Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam. For those choosing the SLE, SLT, and AT4 models, the Terrain Pro Safety Plus package is available, incorporating the GMC Pro Safety features and additional features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Park Assist, and a Safety Alert Seat.
The Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert feature side-mirror visual alerts when a detected vehicle is approaching quickly or is in your side blind zone. Rear Cross Traffic Alert can provide warnings for detected cross-traffic behind your vehicle when reversing. Rear Park Assist offers distance alerts for detected objects behind your vehicle to aid parking and prevent collisions at low speeds.
Heads Up Display
The 2023 GMC Terrain offers an available Head-Up Display feature to keep your attention squarely on the road ahead by projecting vehicle information within the driver's line of sight. This advanced technology contributes to both safety and convenience. It reduces the need for drivers to look away from the road to check information, minimizing distraction and enhancing focus.
Speed Limit: The system displays the legal speed limit of the road you're driving on. This can help you maintain an appropriate safe speed, which can help in areas where speed limit signs might be missed.
Driving Speed: The Head-Up Display shows your current speed, allowing you to keep track without looking down at the traditional speedometer.
Drive Mode: This feature informs you of the Terrain's current drive mode (e.g., FWD, Off-Road), enabling you to adjust your driving accordingly without taking your eyes off the road.
Audio: Information about the currently playing music or radio station is displayed. This way, you can keep track of what you're listening to without looking at the infotainment system.
Engine RPM: This display shows the current revolutions per minute of the engine, which can be useful for drivers who like to monitor their engine's performance.
